Match Affinity is a dating site that uses highly detailed psychometric testing to match you up with compatible people. Competing site eHarmony also shares this modus operandi. Unlike most dating sites they crunch your given answers through a complex matrix and offer up a list suitable matches for you based on your personality. Effectively they do all the searching for you.

Profile Creation

Don't underestimate how long it will take you to fill out the personality questionnaire. I lost count at about 120 questions so I'm guessing there was something in the region of 150 by the time we'd finished. Giving considered answers to each one will take you a minimum of 40-60 minutes. Having tackled personality questions you're then on to a set of physical appearance questions and then finally over to writing a few personal paragraphs about yourself for your matches to read.

Search Style

As a personality profiling site Match Affinity provides you with a list of pre-matched people that, in their opinion, are compatible with you. These matches at graded by the percentage they think you are compatible.

However, unlike similar sites e.g. eHarmony or Parship, Match Affinity allows you to search their database for additional people in the way you would on most dating sites. We awarded extra points for this added feature.

Halo Score

The free telephone support line scores this site well. On the flip site we didn't like the fact that the minimum subscription period is three months. We found this a rather restrictive commitment especially given that you can't view the profile photos of your matches before you have to pay.

Communications Summary

Getting in touch with other members is what online dating is all about and this is done via a direct messaging system. There are no additional communication features such as instant messaging or video chat.

It must be noted that as a free member you cannot view the photographs of the members that the site believes you are compatible with.
